When the day began, the bride was so calm and relaxed! Ya’Meki, along with her Maid of Honor, both seemed to have things under control. Was it because this was a renewal rather than a first ceremony? I really don’t know but this day would prove to have a very relaxed atmosphere.
As I photographed the girls, they were very easy going and fun to photograph. Of course it helps when I’m working with willing participants that will face the blowing winds after just having their hair done! The winds were rather strong and there were some moments that I considered taking everything indoors, but it was otherwise a very nice day.
One of the first things I noticed when I arrived, were the wonderful color combinations! I thought the colors were just amazing. The chocolate was my favorite. The colors were so elegantly arranged that I knew the the celebration would be one to remember.
Soon it would be time for the ceremony and what better man to escort the bride than her son! That’s one of those things that define the “Now Bride”. Brides are quite different than they were 20 years ago and so are the ceremoies. I can speak first hand about a son who escorted his mother down the aisle bcause I held that very same responsibility over 10 years ago!
When the reception began, glasses of Moscato adorned the tables as well as some of the freshest fruit around. Just when the feast was over came time to “cut the rug” to some of the most popular music around. The music ranged from some classics like Michael Jackson to some modern day favorites such as Mary J Blige.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your happy day!
Oh Amin!!!
If this is just the beginning, I can’t wait to see the finished product. I know it is going to be absolutely breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!!! Yours truly, Ya’Meki (The Bride)
