Also, wear comfortable shoes if your location will include a lot of walking.(which many do) &nbsp;Keep in mind, though that \u201ccomfortable\u201d doesn\u2019t mean sneakers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Choose clothing that compliments your personality:<\/strong> Make sure your clothes look like \u201cyou\u201d and fit your personality.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Choose solid colors:<\/strong> Patterned prints look busy in photos and draw attention away from your face, so choosing solid colors are often best. Also, keep in mind that darker colors are more slimming. A couple of different outfit changes are welcomed as they can give variety to your session.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coordinate your clothing with each other:<\/strong> Wear clothes that are the same level of \u201cdressyness\u201d and wear similar shades that go together. Choose clothes that look best on you, but don\u2019t be too matchy. While it may not be suggested that you look like a set of twins, it is however, suggested that you keep the colors in the same color palette. If you are taking pictures in a downtown area, you might consider more urban clothes, such as a button up shirt for the guy and more dressy pants or a dress for the girl.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Avoid trendy clothing:<\/strong> They will date your photos as soon as the trend goes out of style. Patterns go out of style quickly and the background usually has enough patterns that will make the photographs look too busy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Avoid tight clothing:<\/strong> Tight-fitted pants or tops often restrict movement and make it hard for various poses. They also show curves and can show skin that you don\u2019t want to reveal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Choose colors that compliment your skin tone:<\/strong> For example, if you have light skin, white clothing can wash out your complexion in photographs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Avoid any major changes with your hair and makeup:<\/strong> You want your engagement photos to reflect who you really are, and you want to be comfortable in your own skin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you want to have your dog in some of the photos, <\/strong>it would be best to have a friend come along to watch him\/her while we are creating the other images.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other things to remember about engagement photos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you choose a location outside, the best time for the photo shoot is in the late afternoon. You can avoid hard shadows in photos taken in the late afternoon and there\u2019s a great chance we can get a romantic sunset in the background.<\/li>\n<li>Plan on having a good time. If you\u2019re in a good mood, it will show in the pictures and you will get more great photos!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Engagement pictures will be used to display at the reception, used for guest books, hang on your wall, and will be placed in engagement announcements and \u201csave-the-date\u201d cards.
