It’s not everyday, every week or even every other year that I attend a softball game. As a matter of fact, I’ve never attended a softball game before today! The tournament was for a charitable cause and the game was played by both volunteers and employees of the area’s Wal Mart stores.
This tournament would definitely give me a chance to brush up on my sports photography which has never really been an interest of mine. It takes a different sort of skill to capture sports. The photographer must first know the game! Aside from knowing the game, you would have to know the key people and permissible areas to take the photographs. There’s no studio situation here and like weddings, the action is super fast! Moreover, there’s no time to set up and measure portable flashes either 🙁
