In my last post I wrote about High School Seniors and was asked for more samples of what’s possible from NYT with high school seniors. Well a couple of days ago I had the opportunity to meet Latoras, a senior whom which I was fortunate enough to photograph.
It was funny enough that her aunt had already mentioned how shy she was and boy was she right! Although shy, she seemed to have a ton of fun and so did I as I created something exciting and memorable for her.
The one thing that Latoras was sure about was that she wanted outdoor photos that included her car and the rest was left completely up to me. With that in mind, we began our session outdoors.
I love this angle and use it often in my work.
When I get the chance to use this outdoor location, I always try to take advantage of the landscaping and art that’s all around. In this case, the waterfall is always a big hit among everyone that sees it! I think Latoras looks amazing in the lighting of this image.
This was just one more image taken near the waterfall with a unique angle. Again, I love how angles seperate the normally “typical” photo and turns it into something spectacular.
Every teen loves cars! I always encourage teens to bring along ANYTHING that will seperate them from all the others. I like being able to create something unique for everyone I work with.
I admit, I can’t take all the credit on this one. Fresh ideas and technology always keeps us fresh and up to date on ideas and with posing like this our options are endless.
Hats always make for very simple yet dramatic props! Just look at what a hat did for this image!
I think Latoras’ choice of outfit and this amazing backdrop made for a killer image!
Black & White has been around since our very first days of film cameras and will always have a place in photography. Latoras really looked great in this rendition of Black & White photography.
Like any teen session, a unique montage is a must have! This montage of Latoras is nothing short of BEAUTIFUL.
