1. Keep it simple
You shouldn’t look too different on your wedding day from how you usually do. Instead, your makeup should complement your face and make you the most beautiful version of yourself. So if you usually keep your makeup natural, this isn’t the day to experiment with colors and contouring.
It is advisable to go for neutral shades that are ultra-feminine and enhance your natural features. However, you don’t have to play it too safe. You can try adding blush and soft colors on your eyes to create the perfect picture.
Also, mix your under-eye concealer with some foundation before application to prevent it from popping out and looking whitish on camera. Using a subtle highlighter on your cheekbones and temples can help you to look radiant when the light hits your face, while using white liner around the eyes can help them look fresh and alert.
2. Focus on the fine details
As the star of the show, your makeup needs to stay in place throughout the day. To help, always start with a primer to fill in and fade any line imperfections that the camera lens can magnify. Another tip is to fix it with setting spray and finely milled powder to seal things in place. This prevents shiny glare and smudges, ensuring your makeup is picture perfect.
3. Don’t forget your neck
If you have your hair up during the wedding, don’t forget to apply makeup to your neck and ears. Most brides forgo this trick and end up with a look that is uneven in their photos when their neck is a different color from their face. Remember to also blend foundation into your hairline for a natural look.
